Judi Baril has submitted a report outlining the results of the parish infrastructure survey. She received 67 responses. Below you will see the results of those responses.
Parish opinion on priority of infrastructure responses - parishioners were asked to
please rate 1 – 3 the priority order of repairs need to be completed.
Parish Centre decision: 77.61 % of respondents chose this as their number one issue*
Repairs to the rectory: 12.30 % of respondents felt this was their number one issue
Investigate the potential of renovating or adding on to St. Mark Club: 10.09 % of respondents felt this should be a priority.
*Note: It should be noted that many parishioners felt that while they chose the Parish Centre as their number one priority, they also felt very strongly that the care and comfort of our priest was indeed our responsibility and that work scheduled on the rectory should be completed quickly.
Parish opinion on what to do with the Parish Centre - Of the 67 responses,
61.20 % voted to sell the Parish Centre immediately
11.95 % voted to demolish the Parish Centre
20.89 % voted to renovate the Parish Centre and
5.96% voted to demolish and rebuild
The Property and Finance Committee will be meeting in the coming weeks to review the report, along with the many comments shared by parishioners and more information will be shared with parishioners afterwards.
